Building Procedure
- Unwrapped paper towel rolls to use inner tube
- Heated up hot glue
- Cut tin foil in squares and wrapped it around the end of the paper towel tubes to enclose the ends. Hot glue the tin foil down to ensure a seal.
- Repeat these steps for both tubes.
- Hot glue the bottle caps onto the bottom tube to act as wheels.
- Hot glue the two tubes together with the one tube with the bottle caps on it on the bottom.
- Cut a piece a string, cut a small hole into the top of the top tube and insert the string into the tube to act as the water hose.
- Cut a paper clip into a small piece with wire cutters and insert it into two small holes in the top tube. This is the handle for transporting the product.
- With the other part of the paper clip insert it into the bottom tube to act as the faucet for the drinking water.
- Add fill holes with caps for where you insert water as well as an air valve. For our prototype we just drew these on due to our lack of materials at home.
Refinements
We didn't make any alterations because we knew we were making a model of it and could easily plan and create a model.
